I first came to the Blue Deer Center in July of 2010; I had read Plant Spirit Medicine around the time of its initial release, and after many experiences and a lot of growing, life finally brought me to this sacred land.  The Healing Camp I attended changed my life, though that is a simple statement for a many-faceted, sometimes scary, sublime and ongoing deepening.  It's fair to say that I finally got a taste of what I have been searching for my entire life.  Now, I have the opportunity to serve you, this land, and the medicine that flows through this land and the traditions that are housed here.  I do so with deep gratitude.

I've worn many hats thus far: auto mechanic, software engineer, farmer, millworker, just to name a few.  Most recently, I was part owner of a successful small business.  I'm no stranger to cutting firewood or getting the computer to work!  I am also (finally) studying Plant Spirit Medicine, and love to cook and bake (and eat!), and spend time outdoors with the trees, mountains, rivers . . . well, all of it, whenever possible.  When I have the time, I really enjoy working with my hands, shaping wood or stone or metal.  In the end, I've finally learned that in the absence of community, all of these things only get me partly connected to my Heart.  It comes back to relationships.  With that in mind, I look forward to seeing you at the Center.
